The Film: An accident. The wrong choice. “That night, I became a murderer.” Choi Hyun-soo (Ryu Seung-ryong) is set to become the head of a dam management team in the remote village of Seryeong. One foggy night and the day his family is to arrive, a young girl runs into the street and is struck by a car near the village entrance. Too surprised to think, Hyun-soo makes the wrong choice and dumps the girl into the lake. A dead daughter. Revenge begun. “I will find whoever did this and make them pay the same price.” The child’s disappearance throws the town into chaos and a search effort commences. When the girl’s frozen corpse is finally recovered, her father Oh Yong-jae (Jang Dong-gun), who is also the village’s largest land owner, is consumed by rage.

While the story doesn’t sound all that original or engaging, Seven Years of Night is pretty stacked with acting talent that should warrant interest.
