Sion Sono’s sixth feature of 2015, The Whispering Star, just made its world premier at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The Whispering Star is the first film made by the director’s own production company, SION PRODUCTION, which means total creative control for director Sono. As with some of the director’s previous films Himizu (2011) and The Land of Hope (2012), the filming locations include the towns devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year! Check out the trailer below.
